Hi there, i have question about Scratch Disk Setup for Photoshop Question. If you don't mind spending the $10 though and want a permanent tool, I would go with Daisy Disk. ![]() I don't know if they still do, but Daisy Disk is much more polished and I consider it better for non-techie users. Traditionally, the Genius Bar would recommend GrandPerspective for years since it's free and powerful and they would use it themselves. Due to the complex and interwoven nature of Mac OS X, umount may fail often. Unless they've changed it the free trial is fully functional and awesome one-off use to track down disk space hogs. From Disk Utility I then clicked Restore and selected my Time Machine backup. Also try an SMC reset and also try creating a second account and see if problem also is present in the second account - if it is not, then possible that some preference file is corrupted or some other account specific file is faulty.Absolutely, Daisy Disk is the best. Sometimes that will "fix" things, but not always. Have you tried a "safe boot" (hold down left shift key when powering on the system) and then a normal boot. The point of the commands was to make sure that you don't have a common problem about having multiple "Data" mount points, which you don't.
